The Cold Light of Day.

Me & Cynthia had too much fun trolling around the flea market & arrived late for the movie. We watched Hugo, which by the way is one of the most visually flawless movies I’ve ever seen. Anyway, here are the so-cold-I-only-took-few pictures.

Cynthia: “You have made me a very vain girl…I don’t even like taking pictures of myself”. (She didn’t know that’s what I was going for)

This right here inspired me to change my blog name. We all want to make it in life right? We all want something, anything for life to make sense. (I’ve gone waist deep on that LMAO)

Winter’s fast approaching. They say we’ll be having more snow this year but less of the harsh freeze. That actually makes me happy.

The Kids of Kensington.

Me & Krista always set up a date where we could hang around, go anywhere we like & take pictures! This Fall we decided to go to vintage clothes hunting @ Kensington. By the way this is a super late post, this was before Halloween. I really enjoyed this trip because I for one, wouldn’t go out somewhere to take pictures like a crazy guy with an IPhone snapping away downtown, cause that would be creepy. Anyway, here we go with the pictures…

We had lunch at this Chinese restaurant. (I haven’t had Chinese in a long time) I kid you not when I say their serving of fried rice is more than enough & delicious!

Our take on conceptual jump shots. Like a pro! Hahahaha:)

Whatever this means, you get the picture.

I can’t wait for our Winter photo sesh! I hope it’s Christmas-y. Because I NEED TO FEEL THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT SO BADLY. Thanks Krista!

Stargazing @ the Toronto International Film Fest!

carlothemajestic:

Finally I got the time to post this! I actually didn’t have a clue of who were going to drop by for their respective premieres until I saw the TIFF website. It’s crazy because I only found out hours before I actually went to the venue, I was in complete awe, like seriously it’s one of those annual events & there was a red carpet & we all know who comes when there’s such things right? TIFF is more like a amped up Sundance (cause it lasts more than a week) and a toned down, mainstream version of Cannes. That’s how I’d like to put it. Anyway here are the celebrities I saw!

Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan Tatum. I took these photos (except the middle one) as they were approaching towards our spot! They were literally like an inch from us! I’ve always thought Channing was OG, ever since I saw Step Up & his other movies. He’s got about 6 movies coming this year & 2012!

More stars! Kate Mara, Justin Long & Scott Porter. By the way, Justin went out to sign some more autographs & he knuckle punched me. He’s officially cool.

Some favorites who came & I wish I actually saw (Kirsten Dunst, Jessica Chastain, Jon Hamm). Even though I only got a one-night pass to a red carpet, I’d say it’s sooooo worth it, like waiting for 2 hours & talking to some fans too, it wasn’t so bad! I am definitely gonna drool over next year.

Temps d’amusement à Montréal!

Finally. So we spent the Labor Day weekend in Montreal. We drove about 6 hours to get there, even got lost because of the gps, but anywho, it was a really nice road trip. The title of this photoblog was evidently pasted from a Google translate page. That’s proof I don’t have French in me.

First stop: We went to this insectarium & botanical garden which was so cool! A really spacious area with lots of activity centres! While we were walking all we heard were French French French. I got intimidated HAHAHA.

Little China:)

Downtown. I promise you’ll fall for this city. Like really.

We really enjoyed it even though we only had 3 days. We also went to the St. Joseph Cathedral which was like a castle! I only see that kind of architecture on the travel channel! It was so nice & breathtaking. Seriously I never wanted to leave because there was just too much to see in only little time:( I hope we could come back next year. Definitely our end-of-summer trip. Thank you God:)

Cherry bomb!!!

Went out with some family friends yesterday to the fields where they have cherries. It’s actually a summer event (that’s exaggerating) here in Canada. It was scorching hot, not that I don’t like it but what the heck, it was fun! We rode a school bus by the way. Here are some pictures.

That’s me & my mom:)

Mom & dad being wacky & sweet:)

We also passed by Niagara Falls (part 2) before we went home. There was a mob of people, not surprised because it was winning weekend anyway. Wish I spent time w/ Krista though, only that she had to go home early. There’s a next time so I wont worry about it:)

So I’m really enjoying my NXNE volunteer shifts so far. I met some new friends (awesome people from all over the world I tell you) & I’m really happy to be part of something so big, it’s one of Canada’s most anticipated music/film fest every year.

Self timer pic lol. This is me & Rebekah, she’s from New Zealand & yes, she’s super cool & she likes hiphop, dubstep & finds Rihanna attractive hahahaha.

Some of the movies on the showcase I’m itching to watch.

Weekend @ Centre Island

Family went to spend the Saturday at the nearest place where there’s water here in Toronto. Hahahaha. I miss the beach so much! Good thing there weren’t too many people since it was freezing like heck. Here are the pictures!

Oh wait, we rode a ferry! Sakay na! LOL

I saw the white swan too (cause there was a lake too). She was eyeing on me I can tell. spreading her wings & all. I’ve seen those tricks before, white swan.

Overall, it was a really fun experience. We kept putting it off because as you can tell, we’re kind of located in the cold part of the world, and going out on a 12C day is such a drag. My kuya’s not in the photos cause he had to work, hmmm next time. Summer come already I’m itching to wear my shirts!

Our nieces went to our place last weekend. Oh my how I’ve missed them! I am utterly surprised about their thoughts on topics such as Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, antennas, amusement parks, crushes, what have you.

My mom & Aliyah!

Multicultural Gourmet Food Trip!

These were taken last week when we had a little feast after the quiz. Everyone brought food from their respective countries and for a while we were in a multicultural gourmet trip! I liked the Iranian mixed rice w/ cranberries! I brought lumpia and they liked it. Sarap! Wish there were shots of the dishes we brought.

Green Heroes @ Green Living Show weekend.

I got into the thought of volunteering to get involved w/ the community, probably meet new people, and build some network. I was excited when I found out I was gonna be part of the Green Living Show, but when I actually came to the venue, it struck me, what the heck is this? I was floored when I realized I don’t know a thing about this Green Heroes function, I just volunteered! Then we take off from there to me actually being eager to educate myself about people WHO MAKE A CHANGE. Not just for themselves but for the planet.

I met some wonderful people. Then I thought to myself “Wow, this is a big deal. I feel so Canadian suddenly” Hahaha. Laugh at me. I really enjoyed the past weekend just delivering information and spreading awareness to people about taking the chance to make a big difference for our planet.

photoblog 6: back to december weather

I was actually surprised yesterday morning that there was even snow outside our terrace, i was like “NO WAY” but of course, we accept the challenge so I guess it’s cool. Not much you can do because it’s the balance of nature. I just wish it wouldn’t be so freezing cold. Good thing we got enough sunshine to keep us company today.

That was one of my many reactions when I found out the snow was coming back. Sorry had to take a pic on the washroom mirror.

And who says you can’t be lazy be with your pjs & your snow boots on? Hahaha. Here’s to more hoping that snow will melt soon and we actually get warmer weather. xx
