Monthly wrap up: February
- Manila!
- Got to see my relatives & friends again after such a long time!
- I went to this SoJ training & lemme tell you, those kids (well, they’re kind of the same age as myself) are young blood. Some got 0 potential & some were so good my pride got hurt. I miss radio.
- Thesis class. (HAHAHA)
- Hot weather!
- Saw The Vow twice. Loved it.
- Of all the things I missed out on, I could actually say that IT’S INDEED MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES!
- Took a LOT of pictures!
- I’m pretty sure my family back home’s doing alright without me.
- She finally hugged me.
Okay I’m gonna set yall straight. I went back to Manila for a number of valid reasons: I miss my grandma so much, I wanna take a break from the routine I have back in Toronto, I wanna see my friends & relatives, and because I want a sign whether God wants me here or he wants He wants me to be Toronto Carlos. Either way it’s still one person. 2 weeks in & I’m having a blast! Not that I don’t really wanna go back just yet BUT honestly I could get used to this. So many differences I could point out, but I won’t name them. I just know that Philippines Carlos is back in action, I surprise myself because I still know how to converse using Tagalog straight up! I think coming to Toronto taught me a lesson about long term goals & life in general. I think I made more sense too. I have a full month left! Gotta try to be productive every waking day!

- We Are Young!
- new phone (so happy I made that decision)
- Bought my ticket to Manila!
- INDIVIDUAL SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING.
- …and then there’s that Persian dude.
- Coldest month of the year.
- Listening to podcasts has renewed my passion to be a radio DJ.
- A very different experience attending a Sunday service.

When you look back at all those days and wonder how life was like before they came in to it. When you remember all the days you didn’t speak to them, or was afraid to let them get to know the real you, it sort of hits you that you wasted so much of the little time you have left. So much that you can’t get back.

A reminder that we, Pinoys still celebrate Christmas the grandest, longest, & happiest.
New friends, old friends.
I’m not gonna quit my job at the shop because my best bud is there. We do share a kicking time when we work together because we’re like spirit animals & we joke around. We don’t take shit from our horrible co-workers, we give ‘em attitude. We’re planning to see Rihanna live next summer.
I just talked to one of my closest friends back home (which is always Manila), and man, I could just tell away what has happened with me these past few months of not being able to see her. I miss that girl.
