I have no words to describe how I feel for Beyonce. She’s the diva of our time, I love her everytime she goes on stage. Now this is from her DVD, Elements of 4, a track called “I Miss You” which was co-written by Frank Ocean. I absolutely love how simple the song is & that beat is sick. Beyonce’s amazing <3
Stop at 2:24 and see she’s crying while raising the mic to the people. Real.
Song of the day is back! I’m sorry (as if anyone’s following this tag)
We’re gonna kick off with Ed Sheeran’s “Lego House” which I think is not relevant for me at the moment, BUT definitely one of my spring/summer songs. The video is a big “WHAT’S GOING ON?”, I just don’t get this! I wish there was a couple involved or a romance of some sort.
There is something beautifully sad about John Mayer’s video for Shadow Days. It’s a brilliantly shot video, but he seems so lonely, so isolated. Yes, that echoes the record, but is the record not an extension of his heart and head anyway? He talks about how his shadow days are over, but I’m convinced they’re not. I don’t know if it’s his granuloma, or that he’s onto his fifth record, or maybe a combination of them both. But certainly, there’s something forlorn about JM roundabout now. Gone is the confident, care-free, gutsy John, in his place someone much more vulnerable. Nonetheless, I really enjoy the direction in which is music is going, and look forward to the new album next month.
Because you need a catchy track this summer, and I, for one am very excited. Did I mention I will be having 2 summers? One here for the whole of March & another in July when I come back to Toronto:)
This was from the New Year’s Eve soundtrack. Pretty much sums up everything that we’re looking forward to tomorrow midnight. Relevant. This song makes me a little bit emotional though.
